RNS 382 Running sampler

This sampler, one of our wide range of running samplers, has been developed to meet the need for a truly accurate sample of liquid cargo to be taken quickly and simply.

It has been designed and developed specifically to pass easily through 2-inch vapour control valves.

A special feature of all these samplers is the pair of adjustable inlet openings in its top cap, which give them all the ability to take samples from a wide range of liquid types – from light products to heavy fuel oils and crudes, within a practical time scale.

The design of the samplers ensures that the rate of filling is constant during operation, independent of both the depth of the sampler and the extent of filling. This means that the sampler has simply to be lowered and raised at a steady speed, thus simplifying the operator’s task.

The samplers have a new design of outlet opening at the bottom, so that decanting its contents into a sample bottle can be done without inverting the sampler – reducing time and minimising spillage.

The samplers can be dismantled easily by hand for cleaning.

This sampler has an eyelet fitting at the top end, to connect with our MK 1A and MK 1B Winders, for open sampling. The RNS 382 can also be used in restricted sampling, with our MK 2 winder.
